Nightmare arrival - Saturday early evening when dining room was full to bursting with Saga German group and only 2 members of staff to do everything. Staffing situation did not improve much, though easier after German Group departure next morning. Air-conditioning controlled by central thermostat by management so hardly on at all despite humid warm nights. Bedrooms nicely furnished, clean and beds ok - bathrooms ok but shower positioning halfway along bath with no curtain made showering difficult. This was odd in a modern build. Breakfast terrible - hardly any choice - orange squash came out a bottle - only apples offered for fruit. Dinner menu pretty basic. Wine was only €2 a glass which was good.
Although situated on the outskirts of Bolzano quite far from town, the hotel was close by bus stop and train station, so getting out and about was easy. Also we discovered local pub across the road which did magnificent barbecues for dinner.
Difficult to sum up - we stayed for 5 nights and in the end agreed that it was ok, but the owners seemed to be scrimping on everything - it could have been so much better.
